Our Journey
CraftCafe India was born from a deep passion for textiles and traditional craftsmanship. After working in the textile industry for four years, I felt the need to create something of my own—something that truly honored India’s rich heritage.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I started a small Etsy shop while working as a textile designer. By 2022, I saw a growing demand for custom, handcrafted products, but my full-time job limited my creativity. So, I made the bold decision to quit and pursue my dream.
With a small workspace at home and a dedicated stitching expert, I began blending heritage techniques like block printing, tie-dye, and applique with contemporary designs. Working closely with artisans, I witnessed their incredible skill and knew this journey had to be about more than just selling products—it was about empowering craftsmen, ensuring fair wages, and keeping traditions alive.
